About the Event
The 23rd edition of the South African National Quilt Festival will be held at Gqeberha (formerly Port Elizabeth), Eastern Cape. This is the biggest event on the South African quilting calendar, held every two years.
In 2026, it is hosted by the Dias Quilters’ Guild.
Quilt Show Competition
Theme: "Sew Awareness" – a celebration of quilting as a medium for environmental awareness.
Entry Fee: R220 per quilt.
Deadlines: Online entries open February 2, 2026 and close April 30, 2026.
