Quilt National ’21- The Dairy Barn Arts Center

Quilt National is a biennial international juried exhibition of contemporary innovative quilts.  The works for the exhibitions are selected by a jury. At the conclusion of the exhibition at the Barn, approximately 80 of the quilts begin a two-year tour to galleries and museums throughout the country. Nearly all the host venues will have less than 30 of the works on display.

Founded in 1979, Quilt National  was intended to demonstrate the transformations taking place in the world of quilting. Its purpose is, to carry the definition of quilting far beyond its traditional parameters and to promote quiltmaking as what it always has been — an art form. 

Quilt National 2021 will feature 84 artists from 12 countries adn 6 continents. The closing reception will be on 3 Sep, friday from 5 PM to 7 PM. The event albeit a physical event is by reservation only.

LEARNING

Learning sessions include a mix of virtual and on-site sessions. A 2 Hour virtual lecture with Q&A starts at $20. 3 day workshops start at $162.
