Quilt Canada 2024, Edmonton, Canada

Quilt Canada is an annual quilt festival organised by the Canadian Quilters’ Association/Association Canadienne De La Courtepointe.

The event location changes every year and in 2023 it will be in  Edmonton, Alberta. The event will have 

• Juried Quilt Show & Quilt Challenges
• Workshops & Lectures
• Shopping

Entry fee to the event will be around CAD 25.00 + tax.

Exhibition

Quilt Show Competition - Juried show and Challenges

1. Registrations will be open between 3, Jan to 16 Feb, 2024. 
2. The show is open to all Canadian citizens, permanent residents. Non-residents of Canada can only enter if they are Individual or Professional members of the CQA/ACC. 
3. Standard entry fee is CAD 85. 
4. There are 9 categories including Art, Traditional and Wearables.

In addition to category awards, there will also be overlay awards for excellence.

TrendTex Quilt Challenge

 TrendTex 2024 quilt challenge themed "Prairies to Mountains". TrendTex Fabrics, donates the fabrics for the theme. All wall quilts become the property of CQA/ACC and will be displayed at Quilt Canada 2024.

Invitational concurrent show

The event also has a by invite quilt show.

Workshops will be taught by 16 renowned quilters will be holding workshops. The lecture list is yet to be announced. Check the faculty list here.

Special events: Opening and Award Ceremony will be held on the evening of June 7, 2023.
