About the Event

The Festival of Quilts organised by Upper Street Events in partnership with The Quilters’ Guild was launched in 2003. Currrently, it is the biggest quilting show in Europe attracting over 26,000 quilting enthusiasts each year. It is also home to the largest open quilt competition in the world. Over 800 quilts are entered annually into the competition which covers a variety of categories including; traditional, modern, contemporary, art and novice quilts to name a few. As well as a juried competition for textile artists – The Vlieseline Fine Art Textile Award. In addition to this there are also curated collections on display showcasing a distinct quilting style or an artist's work.

In addition to the Show, the event also has offers learning opportunities. The last on - ground event in 2019 saw more than 400 learning sessions on offer.

FoQ also offers superb shopping experience for quilters with over 300 companies selling patchwork and quilting supplies, fabrics, threads, wadding, fat quarters, sewing machines, notions and other art supplies.

NEC, though away from downtown, is close to the Birmingham airport and the festival has a tie up with Hilton which is a walking distance away.

Ticket for Adults start from GBP 17.5.
