Entry fee for the event typically ranges between GBP 16- 20. The event mostly consists of
Exhibition
- Quilt Show competition
Over 700 quilts are entered annually into the competition which covers a variety of categories including traditional, modern, contemporary, art,novice etc.
There also is a juried competition for textile artists – The Fine Art Textiles Award.
The entry deadline normally is mid of June.
- Famous Artists and Special Exhibits
The festival also has special exhibits from renowned artists and quilters. There are also special exhibits based on products or quilt collections.
International guests include Jenny Doan and Joe Cunnigham.
Workshops, Lectures
More and 400 classes are held during the 4 day event. Some in short formats of 1 hour, Quick and easy classes and some in long format of 2- 3 days, the Academy workshops. In addition to this there are also talks and demos.
Some of the demos happen in the merchant stall and are offered free of charge.

Shopping
More than 300 stalls will be available for shopping covering a range of products- fabric, fat-quarters and threads to haberdashery, kits and machines.

About the Festival
The Festival of Quilts is organised by Immediate Live, an event management and media company. It was launched in 2003 in partnership with The Quilters’ Guild. The event is now the biggest quilting show in Europe attracting over 22,000 afficionadoes each year. It is the largest open quilt competition in the world. The show also promises to have the largest programme of workshops and talks offered anywhere in Europe.
