Australasian Quilt Convention 2023

The convention will have the Expo, the AQC Quilt Show and Convention Classes, Workshops and Seminars. There’ll be a special area known as Auto Alley where one can test drive all the latest sewing machines – including long arm quilting machines.

Quilt Show

The quilt show will have a themed competition and exhibition. The theme for the 2023 AQC Challenge is ‘In Full Bloom’.  This is a juried competition and applications can be done online till 10 Feb, 2023. There is an entry fee of AUD 20 per quilt and a participant can send 2 quilts.

Learning

• 12 experts will be holding classes. Each class is of 6 hour duration and comes as full day, two day and four day classes. In all there are 22 classes/ workshops to choose from. 
• Class fees need to paid as packages of 2 or 4 days. Fees start at AUD 889 for a 2 day package. Many of the class will have additional fee for materials.
• 2 lectures are scheduled- one each on thursday, 13th and friday, 14th. Fee is AUD 59 if one is choosing separately.

Market 

Parties who sell quilting related products can opt for a stand in the shopping section at the convention.

• Welcome and Cocktail party -  12 Apr, 6 PM
• Gala Dinner - 15 Apr, 7 PM onwards
• Evening Lectures- Thursday & Friday, 5:30 PM
